Hey, just to inform you, h.264 does not really play well on the XBMC. XBMC can play almost everything you throw at it, but h.264 just stutters and can even hang up your XBOX. XBMC uses mplayer, which I believe can play h.264 in the recent versions. It’s either that the mplayer in XBMC is not updated, or the XBOX does not have the necessary horsepower to play reasonably good quality h.264 frames.
If you want videos to play on the XBOX 360 as well as XBOX/XBMC, my suggestion is to encode in standard mpeg4 codec.
