And why do you keep mentioning Burnout Paradise for the PS3?

I do because it came out first for the PS3--and it will get it's updates first. That's about the only reason. I know it's available on the 360 too.

Where are you getting the monthly fee thing from? You can pay $50 and have Live for the whole year.

"The fact you will not buy a PS3 is not based on the fact that you “don’t want one” and you know it. You’ve simply liquidated your assets elsewhere… on Microsoft products. It’s the same reason your a Sega man and not a Nintendo man in the first place."

So untrue it's painful.

I bought the XBox 360 almost three years ago... I think I've recouped my losses on that. ;-)

Part deux; I've owned every Nintendo system ever made during it's original release because they all had games I wanted to play and enjoy. I don't have a Wii because it has nothing I want to play. Same with the Playstation; I don't hate Sony. I still own and play my Playstation 1 and 2... hell, I never even owned an original XBox... but the PS3 isn't getting exclusive titles that make me want to jump out and pick up another system. If I didn't own either, I'd have a harder decision because a lot of the titles I enjoy are cross-platform. So seeing that I already own a system that gets all these games, I really don't have a reason to get a PS3. I came close to picking one up when Virtua Fighter 5 was announced for the PS3... but then they released it for the 360 (which I already owned), same story with Final Fantasy 13... money in hand for Sony, but nope, no point, it's coming to the console I've already bought and paid for.

I think you're just hating on me because like so many people you think I see it only in black and white. This isn't a "this is how I feel and you should too" statement; this is a "This is what works for me. It doesn't work for you? Groovy. That's what makes opinions so awesome." Continually pointing out my "Microsoft fanboyism" doesn't mean I'm a fanboy; it means that you wish I was so we could somehow knock heads over it. I refuse to play your mindgame! ;-)

And why do you keep mentioning Burnout Paradise for the PS3? It's not like it was some exclusive release or anything. It was day and date with the 360, so what makes it so special to point out continually? And frankly, I'm not shocked EA is giving content; they've done it before. What I'm more disgusted at by their games is all of the in-game advertising they cram down your throat.

p.s.

I know this was a friendly ribbing, you told me so yourself. :-)

38:55 Modern Bugs: I agree it sucks that they want money for patches. But there is a ray of light with some game companies. Note EA's Burnout Paradise on the PS3. Not only are the patches free but their is a major update coming to the PS3 version (and eventually to the 360 version) that will add new maps and cars! For FREE. It's rare but it still happens.

OK, I'm going to refrain from calling you Commander Dim and thank you to not misquote me or complain about my "whining and bitching", Tim. Oh and yes. I AM listening. HA! ;-)

I mean... REALLY?

The post on GC was NOT about "how MS is trying to be all like Nintendo." It was about how MS as a company is not innovative. The fact that you took issue with the article and called me out (rightly so) on the fact that the Xbox 360 division is [only slightly] better than their monstrous father does not warrant a public flogging of those of us who simply do not agree with the big M's business practices. (Bravo to the Count and his pointing out of the latest addition of your privilege to pay twice for Netflix.) ;-)

Furthermore! :-) The fact you will not buy a PS3 is not based on the fact that you "don't want one" and you know it. You've simply liquidated your assets elsewhere... on Microsoft products. It's the same reason your a Sega man and not a Nintendo man in the first place. If I had the extra cash and wanted one badly enough I'd be all over the Xbox. But I can't justify the monthly charge considering my overall use of multiple consoles and games. And sometimes, dare I say it, my PS3 sits a whole month without getting played just because I'm too damn busy.

I'm not equipped to pay a monthly fee and not go to the gym.

The thing that most of us agree on is that the 360 is both a power house and a flaming pile of horse manure--albeit an improving pile of horse manure. It's drawbacks do not preclude me from purchasing one eventually... But for this cheap-ass-gamer it's not my first choice. And historically, I'm a Playstation guy so it just doesn't make sense on a lot of levels. There are several exclusive downloadable and in-store titles on the 360 that I eventually would like to try!

Oh and you ARE a Microsoft fanboy. :-P "Vista this and 360 that! Down with the Apple fanboys and your f'n iPhones!"
