We’re on hold.  Obviously, the show is broken and needs some serious mending.  Sorry about this to everyone that reads and listens, but it can’t go on like this.

This is the post I put up on the PN forums this morning.  It pretty much says everything that I feel needs to be said.  It is as much an explanation as it is an apology.  I hope it is taken as such.

…your lengthy post at the top of the thread is EXACTLY why I was not going to release this show. I was pissed, and tired, and pissed, I went off on you, and I truly felt like garbage for it. I’m not going to give people the chance to pick this show apart. It’s gone. I have neither the energy or the desire to defend myself anymore.

As for Big V…

I understand people don’t like him, I understand he’s grating, and I always found that to be part of why he’s good on the show, but for fucks sake people… look at your fucking sig, Muir. Everyone takes his ramblings as these personal attacks. It’s video games, people… video games…

I used to enjoy the emails we got about the topics we discussed. I used to enjoy the conversation and criticisms. Ultimately, it was all in good fun. Nobody got just totally nasty at each other, and some really good ideas came out. Those days are gone. There is no conversation anymore, it’s just angry comment after angry comment, from the hosts AND the listeners…

I’m sick of looking in the inbox and seeing “Subject: Big V is a giant douchebag and I hate his fucking guts”

And I’m not blaming anybody. It’s my fault. I let the show get dragged down to a high school swearing match level.

And the biggest problem is that I don’t have a plan B. This was my plan B.

This show is taking a break till I sort this all out. I’ve been on scramble mode since the abrupt departure of Jason, and obviously my pinch-hitting team (which I fully support and enjoy) isn’t doing it for people. We’ll see what happens.

Again, the show is far from over.  However, I need to find the joy in it again.  As much for you, the audience, than anyone else.
