In relation to the subject in the show, everything is basically off the shelf hardware these days. Custom Motorola 68ks and Hitachi SH2s don't have a place in the modern "build with the intention of porting it" mentality. This generation of consoles are all running IBM sourced PowerPC procs, some have been overcomplicated to the point of stupidity *cough*Cell*cough*, but it's all the same compile on the general runtime. The real separator in the PC vs. Console debate is expandability and control methods.

And yeah, watch out for that one minute... it's a doozy. ;-)

In a previous episode it's "Is console gaming killing PC Gaming?" This week it's "Everything is basically a PC." Oh my head spins at the complexity of the gaming universe.

P.S. Minutes 27:09 to 28:08 should be deleted. LMAO
