Hello all! Guess what? I finally did it. I broke down and decided to join the 21st Century. Threw all caution to the wind, and my lightgun collection in the closet. Yes, I bought a high-def LCD television. I know, I know! I swore up and down that I was quite content to live in my safe standard definition world… but then, I saw something that REQUIRED me to purchase a new television as soon as I possibly could. Listen in to find out what. And let me tell you, I now know what I’ve been missing. Booyah! Yes, I took a break. Yes, I remained mostly silent for the duration of it. I know many of you thought that Jason was making a cross-country drive wearing my flesh as a hat, but alas, twas not the case. So 2008 has finally arrived, and the Commander Tim Cast is back in full swing. On the agenda is Street Fighter 4, random videogame stuff, and I just can’t shut-up about how badly I beat CountZer0 at Virtua Fighter 5.

TOO MANY GAMES TO BUY RIGHT NOW! Jason, Carolyn and myself hanging out on the CTC, talking ’bout stuff. Jason likes Portal and has a certain song stuck in his brain. Virtua Fighter 5 is coming out, and I have to own it by the end of November (when Jason gets here), and Guitar Hero 3 is in stores… there’s far too many games to buy right now. When it rains it pours.

This week, we talk XBox Live demos; what’s good, what’s bad, and what you should never EVER play. Plus, lots of love for Portal as it is currently sweeping through the gaming media like a tornado through a trailer park. This game better win some serious fucking awards this year. The industry would be a much better place if developers took the time to make games as complete an experience as this. Cake for everyone!
