NFS Pro Street gets some Bugatti lovin’

Just think, the next time you’re racing in Need for Speed Pro Street, staring at the various advertisements that EA feels the need to smack you in the face with, you could be burning past them at 250mph in a Bugatti Veyron…and not by using one of the fan-made model packs or taking a hex editor to the PC version.

EA has formally announced that, for the first time ever, Bugatti is allowing their formerly world’s fastest production car to be licensed for use in a video game. The next download pack for the woefully bad Need for Speed Pro Street will contain 16 new cars covering the range of highly sought after machines like the Aston Martin DBR9, Koenigsegg CCX and McLaren F1. But for many car nuts, the real star of the show is the Veyron, which is still one of the most awe-inspiring cars ever built. It’s too bad though that this car is making its debut in such a craptastic shovelware title like Pro Street. But have hope everyone! Maybe this is just Bugatti’s way of dipping their toe in the water to see if they fancy a swim? I think I speak for many a fan of better racing game pedigrees like Gran Turismo or Forza when I say; I sure hope so. Although, come to think of it, I don’t really like either of those racing franchises either… but then again, I’m a jaded old bastard that was weened on Sega Rally for my 3D racing action.
